You Let Us Down! Shame On You'- Rihanna Blasts Snapchat For Ridiculing Her And Chris Brown With New Ad.
Snapchat put up an ad on its platform asking users if they would rather slap Rihanna or bunch Chris Brown and the singer is not mincing words about her displeasure.
The ad was slammed for appearing to joke about Brown’s conviction for assaulting Rihanna in 2009 while the two were dating.
She wrote:
I’d love to call it ignorance, but I know you ain’t that dumb.
This isn’t about my personal feelings, cause I don’t have much of them… but all the women, children and men that have been victims of DV in the past and especially the ones who haven’t made it out yet.
You let us down! Shame on you. Throw the whole app-ology away.
Snapchat has released a statement after they reportedly lost $800m in market value after Rihanna blasted them for an offensive ad that referenced her physical assault from Chris Brown.
The company shares also dropped 3.6% to close at $17.20 right after the Pop star’s clapped back at Snapchat for running the offensive advert that asked its users if they would rather “slap Rihanna” or “punch Chris Brown”.
The platform which seems to be getting a lot wrong lately had told Evibez the advert, which was only published in the US, was published “in error” and had been removed immediately.
