In the last few weeks pictures of what looks suspiciously like an enormous wrap party have done the rounds on Twitter, with actors including Sean Bean and Mark Addy, who've not been involved for several seasons, turning up to pay their respects to the show.
Emilia Clarke's finally hung up her cloak for the last time and said goodbye to Daenerys Targaryen as she wrapped filming on Game Of Thrones' final season.
On Instagram she paid tribute to Northern Ireland and to the show itself, and became so moved that she attempted to hashtag an emoji.
"Hopped on a boat to an island to say goodbye to the land that has been my home away from home for almost a decade," she wrote. "It’s been a trip @gameofthrones thank you for the life I never dreamed I’d be able to live and the family I’ll never stop missing #💔#lastseasonitis"
As filming ends, we're left with a big hole into which to pour all manner of wild speculation and fan-theorising about who'll end up on the Iron Throne and just how many of the thousands of corpses piled up in the process will be major characters.
We do have a few more clues, though: Joe Dempsie, who plays Gendry, isn't on board with the idea that he could end up marrying Daenerys, which could mean that that's definitely what happens and that he's a sneaky little liar, while a big paint job on the Red Keep could also point to outcome of the finale.
