POLICE DEPUTY SAVES CAT TRAPPED ON GARAGE DOOR

For a sheriff's deputy who was effective for ages serving Louisiana, Deputy Mike Scott most certainly have witnessed his fair share of strange happenings. But yet nothing prepared him for when he responded to a call for a pet cat stuck in a car garage entry door.

Just few weeks after the flooding a very strange incidence occurred On Dec. 29, Scott -- who retired as a captain in 2011, but these days works part-time in the role of a deputy -- responded to a call for aid of a furry friend currently being trapped in a house, as stated in the Ascension (Louisiana) Parish Sheriff's Office Facebook page.

By the time Scott got there, several neighbors were present making an effort to assist. With their aid, he detached the upper portion of the frame molding of the garage door, allowing for the cat to be freed.

Bella the cat was examined for injuries while none were found. According to the sheriff's department Facebook post, the home-owner told Deputy Scott Bella that the pet cat must have recently been sleeping on the garage door and so he could not realize at the time he departed for the shops. The homeowner was out of the house shopping for lumber after flooding damaged his private residence.

“I am not much of a cat person, but nevertheless no body would love to see an animal suffering,” explained Deputy Scott. “After losing so much from the flood, I was completely satisfied that I could help save the homeowner’s cat. Thank God for miracles combined with good neighbors.”
