BET HIP-HOP AWARDS: KENDRICK LAMAR HONOURS SNOOP.

The King Kendrick Lamar salutes Tha Doggfather in a total show of respect.
Kendrick Presenting Snoop Dogg with the I Am Hip-Hop
honor at the BET Hip-Hop Awards on Saturday
(Sept. 17) at the Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Performing
Arts Centre, spoke highly of the
Well known West Coast pioneer.

“He mastered the game through tests and
challenges that earned him the respect of a
college professor, except his game came from
the streets, He put [me] on game, showed me the way so I would avoid the
same pitfalls"

Snoop didn't relent as he continued to share his insight even on stage
while accepting his award.

 

“To all the young rappers in the game, a lot of
people don’t understand you, Y’all are
misunderstood. I was misunderstood at the
beginning. So you got to keep pushing, be
original and diverse. Hip-hop was created many
years ago, and it’s taken people so many places.
You have to be who you are.”

Real words of wisdom if you ask me. The BET Hip-Hop Awards was Hosted by DJ Khaled, and
also featured performances from well known artists like Gucci Mane,
T.I., Young Thug, Travis Scott, and the newest kid in the block Desiigner,
among others too.
The whole show, is set to air Oct. 4 on BET. It got all the fans waiting for it.
