FUNAAB RIOT: BLACK THURSDAY BOOK 1

 

THE BEGINNING

At about 1am there was a  robbery in Adejoke hostel. Information got to us few neighboring hostels were robbed subsequently that same night.  This up-roared a peaceful protest the next morning due to what happened. The fact remains....that worst things happened last semester, worse than this.  This hoodlums  Carted away with Lots of valuables....Girls were raped....students were Axed and  beaten  by these people and the School didn't even raise an eyelid. Now before the issue aggravates to how it was students resorted in a peaceful protest.
                       


       


     



 The student union excos as well as police officers where seen available on ground to make sure the protest where carried out peacefully with no damage to both lifes and properties.



Food vendors where also seen on site trying to make gain from the presence of large crowds.


  It was supposed to be a Thursday like any other for the Staff, students and the residents of the Camp to Obantoko areas of Abeokuta. But alas, it didn't turn out that way as aggrieved residents of Adejoke Hostel (which was robbed at around 1am this morning) and FUNAAB students who are all in grief at the high number of incessant robberies in the recent weeks all came out in the early hours of the morning to hold a protest by blocking vehicles of staff and commercial buses conveying students from going into the school premises.





This was going peacefully as initially planned and was gradually dying down until a thief was caught red handed ...This was when it started to all fall apart....
