1. CHEWING OF ICE CUBES;
You might not know this but munching on hard, frozen ice cubes can cause chips or even cracks to your teeth. It could even get worse if your chewing irritates the soft tissue inside a tooth, regular toothaches may follow.

2. USING YOUR TEETH TO PULL OR DRAG HARD OBJECTS
Some use it to drag or pull heavy objects for sports while others use it as openers, pliers, scissors ...you just name it.
Well useing your teeth may be convenient, but this is one habit that is unhealthy for you. Using your teeth as tools can cause them to crack or chip. Bottom line, your teeth should only be used for eating and nothing else.
3. CONSTANT INTAKE OF SUGAR AND JUNKS
Well we all love snacking both with family and friends but what you dint know was that snacking produces less saliva than a meal, leaving food bits in your teeth for long hours. Best solution is to avoid taking snacks too frequently, and stick to snacks that have low sugar and starch — you can try carrot sticks.
4. TONGUE/LIP PIERCING
Tongue piercings may be trending but it has lots of disadvantages and side effects. Lip piercings pose a similar risk. Biting down on the metal stud can crack a tooth and when the metal rubs against the gums, it can cause gum damage leading to tooth loss.
The mouth is also a perfect breeding ground for bacteria, so piercings raise the risk of infections and sores. Bottom line, it is not safe to pierce your tongue or lips.
5. POTATO CHIPS
Am sure you don't know this but the bacteria in potato will break down starchy foods into acid. This acid can attack the teeth for the next 20 minutes — and even last longer if the food is stuck between the teeth or you snack too often. You might want to floss or brush your teeth after eating potato chips or other starchy foods that tend to get stuck in the teeth.
6. REGULAR INTAKE OF FRUIT JUICE
We all know fruit juice is well loaded with vitamins and antioxidants, but unfortunately most juices are also loaded with sugar. Some juices have very high concentration of sugar Fruits are naturally sweet, so look for fresh juice or juice that has no added sugar. You can also reduce the sugar content by diluting juice with water.
7. DRINKING COFFEE
Am sure you shocked well now you know. Coffee’s dark and rich color and acidity can cause yellowing of the teeth over time.
